The Effects of Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)For Cardiac Patients

Can electromyostimulation help patients with chronic heart insufficiency (CHI) where traditional exercise programs often fall short? This 6-month study followed 15 CHI patients through a whole-body EMS training program, tracking cardiac efficiency, metabolic markers, and body composition throughout. Results showed up to a 96% increase in oxygen uptake at the anaerobic threshold, significant drops in diastolic blood pressure, and muscle growth of up to 14% at constant weight, all with 100% patient adherence and zero dropouts.
